Finally, after plenty of action, the competitive Starcraft II community is on the edge of its seat. Namely in the 1v1 scene, the 2020 Global StarCraft II League Season 2 Final Showdown is right around the corner!
As part of the ESL Pro Tour, the second season involved phenomenal parameters. Kicking off on the 20th June, 24 of the best players in the world gathered for a 1v1 showdown. Across the group stages, single-elimination brackets and more, there were many upsets and surprises. Accordingly, with $140,000 on the line, the pressure on the players has been insane.
Now, two months later, the entire competition has boiled down to the two final contestants. As organized by AfreecaTV and ESL, the community has been given 4 more days to reflect on the upcoming final game. To take place on August 15th, the matchup between Rogue and Stats will be legendary.
Let’s take a look at their journey through the final single-elimination bracket:
Predictions?
The final of the 2020 Global StarCraft II League Season 2 is between two players who didn’t find success last season. Within this season, in Group Stage 2, Stats and Rogue did match up. In this instance, Stats took the cake through a 2-1 scoreline. Also, by taking down last year’s champion of TY, many look to Stats to secure the season.
Following its tenth anniversary as a title, the esport continues to flourish.
