  • 6th – $5,000 – Atlantide Wave

Guild Esports crowned European Regional Champions – How did they win?

Group Stage

Guild kicked it all off with a swift lead in group A during the Group Stage. They were up against teams like Team BDS, Giants, Atlantide, and Illusion, and Guild Esports placed 1st with a 3-1 score.

Knockout Gauntlet

Due to being top 2 in their group, Guild Esports got into the knockout gauntlet, and their first opponent was Galaxy Racer. Fortunately for Guild, after losing the first game, they got 3 straight wins in the series and qualified for the playoffs.

Playoffs

Here they faced off Wolves Esports in a best of 7. At first, it heavily favoured the Wolves, as they won the initial 3 games, but Guild came back with a huge upset, winning the rest of the games and finishing the series 4-3 in their favour. After this tough victory, the team played Team BDS in the Semifinals. Again, this was another difficult series to play against the French/Spanish roster, but eventually it was Guild that came out on top, winning the series 4-3.

Grand Finals

In the Grand Final they took on an underdog of the tournament, team Aether. This orgless roster is led by Austrian player Yukeo, formerly of Dignitas and had the performance of a lifetime during the Europe regional event 3. Unfortunately, he and his team only managed to win the first game, as the strength of this Guild Esports roster was too incredible for them. The series finished 4-1 in favour of Guild Esports, and they were crowned European Regional Champions.
