Following a few weeks of some quiet in the competitive Arena of Glory scene, we’re ready to gear up for some exciting competition. Accordingly, read on to learn How to Watch the following event – the AOG Winter 2021 coming tomorrow!
Event Background
Overall, the Arena of Glory Winter 2021 event looks to be awesome. In terms of history, it’s the 11th season of the Vietnamese professional league.
What makes this season exciting is that this year the format looks to change for the first time in 9 seasons.
Taking place offline in Vietnam, the event looks to run from 11th September all the way to the very end of November 7th!
Taking part are 8 of the best teams int he world, who you can check out below:
- Team Flash
- Saigon Phantom
- VGaming
- FAP Esports
- Box Gaming
- CERBERUS Esports
- B2F Gaming
- HEAVY
Although no prize pool is official yet, they’re playing for seeding. Notably, the bottom two teams will be sent to Relegation Playoffs and the top 6 will be headed to Spring 2022. Furthermore, first place earns a seed to AIC 2021.
Format
Moving on to format, there’s a lot to cover here.
First, we have the Group Stage kicking off on September 11th. Here, all teams will be thrown into one group.
Within this group, a double round-robin will take place with each game being a best-of-five. At the end of the group stage, 31st October, we’ll have our final standings. Here, the top 4 teams will be able to progress to the Playoffs.
Taking a break until 4th November, we’ll have an exciting weekend of Playoffs to spice things up a bit. To conclude things, here we’ll have a double elimination bracket:
- Ranks 1st and 2nd face off in Playoffs Match 1 – winner moves to Grand Finals, loser moves to Playoffs Match
- Ranks 3rd and 4th face off in Playoffs Match 2 – winner moves to Playoffs Match to try earn spot in Grand Final
At the end of all this, we’ll have our new champion.
