After introducing the Chinese side of Arena of Valor, we’ve got more regions to cover. Specifically, competitive Arena of Valor is massive in Vietnam. Bearing this in mind, we’re excited for the upcoming Arena of Glory Spring 2022 event in the coming week. Read on for all of the viewership details you need!

Considering this massive change, we can’t wait to witness the action take place offline in Vietnam across Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Running from the 10th February all the way to 8th May, there’s competition to look forward to during the months ahead.

The following are your ten competitors for this epic Spring split:

  • Saigon Phantom – Winter 2021
  • V Gaming – Winter 2021
  • Team Flash – Winter 2021
  • BOX Gaming – Winter 2021
  • CERBERUS Esports – Winter 2021
  • HEAVY – Winter 2021
  • B2F Gaming – Winter 2021
  • FAP Esports – Winter 2021
  • MEMO Game – Series B
  • Tan Voi Gaming – Series B

Apart from the $130,000 on the line, what else are they competing for? For this event in particular, the placements will be awarded as follows:

  • 1-8th – Seed at Winter 2022
  • 9-10th – Relegation Playoffs
  • 1st – Seed at AIC 2022

Regardless of placing, RTWC Points will be split across the board too.

Format

For these coming months, Garena has come up with an interesting format.

Starting things off, quite typically, is a Group Stage. Running until April 24th, all 10 teams will compete to make it to the top 4. Doing so, they’ll fight through BO5 matches, with each team facing one another twice.

They’ll try reach fourth place, considering each win is 1 point, in order to qualify for the Playoffs.

Accordingly, with the Playoffs planned to take place on April 30th, May 1st and May 8th, here’s where the stakes ramp up.

Seeding into a double elimination bracket, the final four teams will compete across BO7 matches, trying to make it to the decisive Grand Final on 8th May, cementing the best of the region.

Predictions

Time to wind back the clock to Fall 2021, when the Arena of Glory Winter 2021 event took place. Back then, here’s how the competition stacked up:

Arena of Valor World Cup

  • #1 – Saigon Phantom
  • #2 – V Gaming
  • #3 – Team Flash
  • #4 – Box Gaming
  • #5 – CERBERUS Esports

Despite Saigon Phantom coming out on top back then, it was at the international Major to end the season, AIC 2021, that things shifted.

Accordingly, the runners up of V Gaming managed to place second at the International Championship, while Saigon Phantom only managed 5-6th.

Considering this, we’re leaning towards V Gaming taking home the AOG Spring 2022 event!
