Indeed, so far we’ve enjoyed the Fall Groups, Fall Showdown and Fall Finals. However, BLAST has one more ultimate event in store for CS:GO. Accordingly, we can’t wait for the BLAST Premier: World Final taking place in the coming days. Read on as we cover all of the essential viewership details below!

Event Background

As I’ll reiterate, this event has been a long time coming. Indeed, BLAST has laid down the framework for this event at the beginning of the year, as the final event of the year. Teams have fought all year to earn a spot as one of the top 8 in the world and contend for the $1,000,000 prize pool.

This time around, the 8 teams are flying out to the Copenhagen BLAST Studio, with an offline event celebrate 5 days of competition. Specifically, the event will run from the 14th to the 19th December.

Below are your 8 teams, together with the criteria of qualifying:

  • Gambit Esports – Spring Finals
  • Heroic – ESL Pro League Season 13
  • Natus Vincere – EPL S14, Major Winners, Fall Finals Winner
  • G2 Esports – Global Leaderboard
  • Team Vitality – Global Leaderboard
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas – Global Leaderboard
  • Astralis – Global Leaderboard
  • Team Liquid – Global Leaderboard

This time around, there’s no more seeding or points to fight for, just a prize pool and a Major title.

Format

With such few teams on board, BLAST is keeping the format relatively simple. Across the five days, a double-elimination bracket will be taking place, with each match being a BO3. Via random draw, here are your first round matches for the bracket:

  • Natus Vincere vs Team Liquid
  • Gambit Esports vs Heroic
  • G2 Esports vs Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • Team Vitality vs Astralis

In the nature of double elimination, teams will be sent to the Lower bracket should they lose their opening match. It’s here that a further loss will send the team packing and out of the competition.

Schedule for the BLAST Premier World Final 2021

Predictions

There’s only one name that can be favoured for such as event. One a hot run since winning the PGL Stockholm Major and the Fall Finals, Natus Vincere look poised to run away with another Major should they continue playing at such a high level.

Perhaps the only team in their way is none other than Team Vitality, as the only team that managed to punch back in the last event.

Otherwise, everyone else will be vying for third place and a stake in the $1,000,000 prize pool.

Is this the time that Natus Vincere begins to cement a dynasty?
