Overall, the 2023 season for the Call of Duty League has been very successful. Accordingly, as the competition gets more exciting, the upcoming week will see the second major of the year take place. Read on to learn How to Watch the CDL 2023 Stage 2 Major below!
Event Background
Indeed, in the era of the Call of Duty League, this is the first event ever to be hosted in Boston, North America. Hosted by Boston Breach, the entire competition is heading to the MGM Music Hall from 2nd to the 5th February.
Moreover, the 12 franchised teams will be competing for the prize pool of $500,000 and coveted Call of Duty League points. Here are the list of franchised teams participating below:

- London Royal Ravens
- Los Angeles Guerrillas
- Los Angeles Thieves
- Minnesota Rokkr
- New York Subliners

Do note that prior to this event, multiple weeks of qualifiers helped seed teams into the first stage of competition as described below. Also, with regards to CDL Points, they’ll be given out as follows:
- #1 – 65 Points
- #2 – 50 Points
- #3 – 40 Points
- #4 – 30 Points
- #5-6 – 20 Points
- #7-8 – 10 Points
As a reminder, only the top 8 teams in the league will make it to the CDL Championship event at the end of the season – every Major counts!
Format
With regards to the format, the entire competition will take place across a double elimination bracket.
Here, 8 teams have earned a spot to start in the Upper Bracket in the opening round. Find the seeding of matches below:

- New York Sublinvers vs Minnesota Rokkr
- Toronto Ultra vs Los Angeles Guerrillas
- Boston Breach vs Atlanta FaZe
Elimination Round 1
- Florida Mutineers vs OpTic/LAT
- London Royal Ravens vs NYSL/MNR
- Las Vegas Legion vs TOR/LAG
- Seattle Surge vs BOS/ATL
For those unaware, a double elimination bracket implies that a loss in the Winners Round 1, moves a team down to the Elimination Round 1.
Once in Elimination, another loss means elimination for teams. From each side of the bracket, two teams will make it to the BO7 Grand Final while all other matches are BO5.
In conclusion, we’ll have a new champion on the evening of 5th February.
