Indeed, the FIFA Global Series is a global phenomenon with multiple regional leagues across the world. Accordingly, in this episode of How to Watch, we’ll be focusing on the Brazilian side of things with the premier event – eLibertadores 2022. Event Background
Accordingly, this is a yearly event which continues to get better each year. This time around, EA Games is throwing $100,000 on the line for the top 8 Brazilian competitors in the country.
Bearing this in mind, the event will kick off on 19th March and finish within a day, on 20th March. Here are the competitors listed below:

Apart from the prize pool, there’s more on the line. Indeed, for the top 3 players, there are seeds for the Global Series Playoffs – the highest level of competition for international FIFA.
Format
In terms of format, we’re likely going to see a return to the format used last year. Getting to the Grand FInals has been a long journey for these competitors.
Accordingly, the competition will be split into the Group Stage and Playoffs. Starting in the Group Stage, the 8 teams will be split into 2 groups of 4. Within each group a double-elimination format (GSL) will take place. Here, only the top 2 players will progress to the Playoffs.
Once in the Playoffs, a single-elimination bracket will decide the final set of competitors – crowning a regional champions once again.
Everything will take place live in-person at the Ascuncion arena in Paraguay. This is also culminating at the same time with the traditional football league too!

This is only one of many regional playoffs events taking place, As stated, this is only a stepping stone to the FIFA Global Series which is the highest level of competition for FIFA 22. Accordingly, the likes of these players will be competing for those 3 seeds with complete understanding of the stakes at hand.
