Event Background
As we’ll reiterate, the ESL Impact event of series is hosted by ESL in tandem with Intel, with the intention of supporting female CS:GO. Bearing this in mind, the coming week of competition looks to bring the community to a legendary venue.
Hosted in Katowice, Poland, the offline event will take place at the International Congress Centre. Taking place from 10th February to 12th February, the weekend will see 8 teams competing for the $100,000 pool as listed below:

- HSG
- Nigma Galaxy Female
Accordingly, here’s how qualifier teams seeded:
- European Qualifier #1 – NAVI Javelins
- European Qualifier #2 – 9 Pandas Fearless
- North American Qualifier – Saints
- South American Qualifier – B4 Esports Female

Format
With regards to the format, the event will involve two stages of competition.
Moreover, the first stage will feature a Group Stage of competition with the following teams seeded below:
- A: HSG, Nigma Galaxy Fe, Saints, B4 Female
- B: CLG Red, FURIA Female, NAVI Javelins, 9 Pandas Fearless
Indeed, here, each group will take place in two double-elimination format (GSL) Groups. Here, the following matches will be as follows:
- Opening and Winners matches – BO1
- Elimination and Decider matches – BO3
From here, only the top two teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs.
Once in the Playoffs, a single elimination bracket will take place with BO3 matches. For those unaware, a single elimination implies that teams only have one life in this competition, where loss results in elimination.

Furthermore, the schedule for the event is only fixed for the opening matches of Group A and Group B.
The following is the schedule for both Groups in CET time zone:
10th February 2023 – Group A
- Nigma Galaxy Fe vs Saints (10:00 CET)
- B4 Female vs HSG (11:40 CET)
10th February 2023 – Group B
- Natus Vincere vs CLG Red (13:20 CET)
- FURIA Female vs 9 Pandas Fearless (15:00 CET)

Accordingly, the ESL Impact Katowice 2023 is the first event to take place since ESL Impact Season 2. Here’s how the competition stacked up back then:
