Event Background
With regards to the background of the event, this is the very first Major of the 2021/22 Dota Pro Circuit. Re-uniting the entire international Dota 2 community, the offline event has the entire community heading to Stockholm.
Indeed, running from May 12th to May 22nd, we can’t wait to see the top 14 teams in the world compete for pride and prize. Apart from the $500,000 on the line, there are also a tonne of Dota Pro Circuit points on the line for the teams which will allow them to qualify for The International further down the line.

Format
Considering the number of teams competing, there’ll be a two-stage format for this event.
First things first, we’ll have a Group Stage. Taking place from May 12th to May 15th, we’ll have two groups of seven teams each. Following a single round robin, with BO2 matches, seeded will be as follows:
- 1-4 – Advance to the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs
- 5-6 – Advance to the Lower Bracket of the Playoffs
- Remaining teams – Eliminated

With only the best moving onto the Playoffs, we’ll have a final double elimination bracket to enjoy. Running from May 16th to May 22nd, aall matches will be BO3 except for the epic Grand Final which will be a best-of-five.
