Following the successful Free Fire Major earlier in November, there’s been a small wait until the Major event. Accordingly, the ESL Snapdragon Mobile Challenge Free Fire is the next exciting event for competitive Free Fire. Read on as we teach you how to watch this exciting event below!
Event Background
For those unaware, the Snapdragon Pro Series is an esports tournament series taking place across major regions in the entire world for Free Fire. Bearing this in mind, the Mobile Challenger will be the very last event for the Snapdragon Mobile Open series this year – ending it with a bang.
To do so, in partnership with ESL, Qualcomm Snapdragon is inviting the top 18 teams in the world to compete for the majority of $300,000 prize pool. Accordingly, teams have either seeded thanks to impressive performances or being directly invited, as elaborated below:

Taking place between 2nd December to 5th February 2023, this event is a long journey for competitors. Starting with online heats, the event looks to boil down to a Finals event being hosted in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Format
With 3 months of competition ahead of us, there’s a lot of format to get into.
First, we have the Group Season lasting from 2nd December to 22nd December. Accordingly, here 18 teams will be spl;it into 3 groups of 6 teams each. Find them listed below:
- A: SEM9, Nigma Galaxy, EVOS Phoenix, MDH Esports, First Raiders Eclipse, Axis Esports
- B: Anxiety, eArena, Attack All Around, Team Flash, Dewa United, Expand
- C: V Gaming, King of Gamers Club, EVOS Divine, Heavy, Saudara Esports, Farang Esports
Across 12 matchdays, with 6 matches each, grops will play through a round-robin format. For those unaware, this means that all teams in a group will play one another once to determine who goes through. At this point in time, only the top 12 across all three groups will advance to the finals as described:
- Top 6 teams AFTER 6 matchdays advance to the Finals
- Top 6 teams AFTER 12 matchdays advance to the Finals
Following this stage, with the final 12 teams decided, the Grand Finals will take place from 4th to 5th February 2023.
Here, 6 matches per day for two days will be all that’s needed to crown an international champion.
Notably, across all stages, the following points distribution will be used:
Kills – 1 point per kill
Placements:
- 1st – 12 points
- 2nd – 9 points
- 3rd – 8 points
- 4th – 7 points
- 5th – 6 points
- 6th – 5 points
- 7th – 4 points
- 8th – 3 points
- 9th – 2 points
- 10th – 1 point
- 11-12th – 0 points
Also, the maps involved will be the likes of Bermuda, Kalahari, Purgatory and Alpine depending on the rotation.
