Competitive Free Fire continues to pack the heat following an incredible 2020 last year. Accordingly, the developer of Garena is pushing forward an exciting framework to encourage growth. Accordingly, multiple regional leagues have been set up – with India being a hotspot of activity. Bearing that in mind, it’s easy to understand why the Free Fire India Championship 2021 Spring Grand Finals are such a big deal. Desperate for details? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered in this episode of How to Watch!

Event Background

The event follows a lengthy process of qualification. Accordingly, the League Qualifiers ran from February 6th up to 7th, with a League Circuit after it. Since then, Play-ins are taking place – leaving us the juicy Grand Finals on the 21st March. Teams of five, from the region of India, will be competing for the majority of the $100,000 prize pool. Below, we have the 6 teams which qualified immediately during the League Circuit, and here they are:

Predictions for the Free Fire India Championship 2021

We’ll be dividing our predictions into a few tiers, according to how they qualified for the event. Accordingly, this reflects on the likelihood of the team showing up on gameday:

Tier 1 – Top Dogs

  • Sixth Sense
  • Team Elite
  • Survivor 3AM

These three teams earned their seed into the Grand Finals thanks to first place finishes in their respective groups at the League Circuit. However, this also means that these three teams are yet to encounter one another . In this regard, I’d like to point out that Survivor 4AM exhibited the most dominant performance of all, stacking up an impressive 114 points to claim first, more than the other two. On the whole, expect these three teams to contest for leadership.

Tier 2 – Nipping at the Heels

  • Total Gaming eSports
  • CAPTAINS
  • TEAM CHAOS

These three teams placed second in their respective groups, finishing beneath the preceeding three teams. Bearing this mind, they also directly qualified for the Grand Finals and have the chance to upset their former leaders too. Notably, Total Gaming eSports were only 3 points from claiming first place in their group.

Tier 3 – The Play-In Teams

  • Team D Esports
  • Last Breath
  • Galaxy Racer
  • Nemesis
  • LVL-ICONIC
  • AFF Esports

While not out of it, these teams just have a slightly lower chance of claiming the victory – some of them missing out on second place in League Circuit groups by a couple of points.
