Running from the 31st December all the way to January 15th, the event looks to end the season and start the year with a bang.

Read on as we discuss the format and other details.

Format

With regards to format, there are actually two stages to the competition.

Indeed, starting on the 31st December, a total of 9 teams will compete for one of the 4 spots in the Playoffs. Here, the following teams will be participating:

Accordingly, these 9 teams will compete in a single-round robin. With each match played in BO1, the top 4 teams will move on to the next stage of competition, joining the remaining teams in the Playoffs.

Specifically, the Playoffs will be running from January 5th to January 15th. Here, the four qualified teams from the Last Chance Stage will join the remaining teams to compete in the Playoffs.

Seeded into a single-elimination bracket, all matches here will be a BO7, following an Ultimate Battle format.

It all concludes with a Grand Final which will crown a Challenger Cup Champion 2021.
