How to Watch IEM XVII Dallas 2020: teams, format, schedule, streams, predictions

Accordingly, following the epic PGL Antwerp last week, there’s still more to enjoy. Indeed, following the Major, the IEM XVII Dallas 2020 event is just around the corner. Bearing this in mind, feel free to read on to learn everything you need to know How to Watch this upcoming event!

Specifically, short for Intel Extreme Masters XVII – Dallas, the event is a celebration of competitive CS:GO once again. Uniting another set of international competitors, the event will run from 30th May to 5th June.

Here, 16 of the best teams in the world are being invited to compete offline at Dallas for $250,000. Organized by the likes of ESL, this event will also form part of the Intel Grand Slam – where teams have a chance of winning $1,000,000 should they win 4 events.

Format

Accordingly, let’s discuss the format which involves two stages of competitions.

Inded, starting with the Group Stage, here we’ll have two double elimination format groups competition. Indeed, each group will have eight teams, where opening matches are BO1 and every other match is BO3.

From these groups, the top 3 will progress to the Playoffs in the following maner:

  • Winners – Semifinals
  • Runners-Up – Quarterfinals High Seeds
  • Third place – Quarterfinals Low Seeds

Here are how the Groups look like:

  • Group A: FaZe Clan, LookingForOrg, Astralis, Team Vitality, G2 Esports, Movistar Riders, MOUZ, ENCE
  • Group B: FURIA Esports, Imperial Esports, Team Liquid, Cloud9, Ninjas in Pyjamas, BIG, Heroic, Complexity

Accordingly, in the playoffs, we’ll have a single elimination bracket. With only one chance to move on in the bracket, the quarterfinals and semifinals are BO3 and the Grand Final is BO5.
