Time to dive into the format!
Format
With regards to the format, we have no official word from the IESF themselves. Accordingly, we’ll be going off of last year’s event to figure out how the event will likely work out. However, what doesn’t help is that the 2020 iteration was in fact cancelled for health reasons.
Indeed, we have 12 teams attending this final championship event. Specifically, this will likely result in a group stage with 3 teams of 4. From this point, the top 2 teams in each groups will then proceed to the final bracket which will likely be double elimination bracket.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated. In the next three days, finals details will be revealed at the event page here.

Predictions
The last time this event took place was all the way back in 2019 where another 20 teams went at it. From all the teams since, Thailand placed second here and are also favourites heading into this event.
Otherwise, we’re just happy to see Dota 2 hosting such exciting events to add a new storyline to the community on an international basis. We’ll know on 20th November whether or not our prediction was correct.
