Following the Spring Split earlier on, this is the final stop before Worlds 2022.
Taking place offline in the heart of Seoul at LoL PARK, the event will run from 15th June to 28th August. Accordingly, apart from $300,000 on the line, there are also qualification points and a single direct Worlds seed.
Anyways, here is a list of teams competing at the event below:
- Brion Esports
- DAMWON Gaming
- DRX
- Freecs
- Gen.G
- Hanwha Life Esports
- KT Rolster

Let’s dive into the format below!
Format
Specifically, the event will involve two stages of competition.
Kicking off with the Group Stage, the competition will start with a Double Round Robin. Indeed, that involves teams playing one another twice, with a total of 18 matches for each team, with BO3 matches.
From this stage, only the top 6 teams will progress to the Playoffs, with 1st and 2nd receiving playoff byes into the semifinals.
Accordingly, the Playoffs will then involve a single elimination bracket, with BO5 matches. At this point in time, the first placed team from Group Stage can choose the opponent in the first round.

Predictions
With regards to predictions, the best measure we have is to look at the LCK Spring 2022 standings as visible below:
- #1 – T1
- #2 – Gen.G Esports
- #3 – DAMWON Gaming
- #4 – Freecs
- #5 – DRX
- #6 – Brion Esports
Bearing this in mind, T1 definitely is the favourite, especially after their historic run last split and also placing second at the MSI 2022 event this past month.
Accordingly, the rest of the league will hope to compete with these giants and try knock them down – especially considering the number of roster changes which could shape things up.
