- 100 Thieves
- Cloud9

- Dignitas
- Evil Geniuses
- FlyQuest
- Golden Guardians

Let’s dive into further details below!
Format
In terms of format, the new season will follow the revisions promised for 2022.
Specifically, a double round robin will ensure that teams face one another twice across the eight weeks of competition. Besides the regular BO1 matches scheduled, one Super Week will take place offering 5 additional matches on a Friday of choice.
At the end of the split, seeds will be awarded as followers for the LCS Playoffs Spring:
- 1-4th – Semifinals
- 5-6th – Losers’ Round 1
Note that unlike last season, points earned through the Spring Split will NOT carry over to the Summer Split following feedback from the community.

Predictions
Making predictions after an off-season of changes both in the game and to the rosters is rather tough. However, luckily for us the LCS Lock-In 2022 last week gave us a taster of how the competition currently stacks up.
As a pre-season event, here’s how the 10 teams stacked up:
- #1st – Team Liquid
- #2nd – Evil Geniuses
- #3-4th – Dignitas, Cloud9
- #5-8th – 100 Thieves, FlyQuest, Golden Guardians, Counter Logic Gaming
- #9-10th – TSM, Immortals
Indeed, it seems the standings don’t quite match how the standings stood last year at the end of the LCS Summer 2021 Split.
Bearing the recent event in mind, we’d like to favour the likes of Team Liquid. Packing some veteran names such as “Bjergsen”, the roster is geared to maintain the early momentum and carry it on when it counts.
