With regards to the format, it’s rather long. Apart from the ongoing Preseason, let’s take a look at the Main Event to kick off soon.
The Regular Season will involve 6 weeks of competition. Each week will involve two stages of competition:
- Breakout – first day of competition where the top 15 teams compete to earn the 9 spots in the Weekly Finals. Those that don’t make it will get their chance the next week.
- Weekly Final – here, the top terams will compete and earn points to count towards the end of the Regular Season. Each week, the top 6 teams will qualify for the next Weekly Finals, while 7-15 will qualify for the next Breakout.
Why the need to earn points? Specifically, teams are earning points to qualify for the Playoffs.
Indeed, the playoffs will run from April 28th to May 8th. Here, the teams will be reduced to 15 teams according to the plan of the 8 days of Playoffs. Each day 15 teams compete and on the final day, the bottom 6 will be eliminated.
After this exciting week, we’d have our final stage of competition – the Finals. Running from 19th to 22nd May, it’s the final showdown. All teams seeded according to Playoffs, 20 matches will determine the final standings.
