Overall, PUBG Mobile esports is building another season of competition heading towards international competition. Accordingly, multiple regional events have been taking place. Indeed, with many kicking off next week, the likes of PMPL SEA Wildcard Spring is one which has our attention – read on to learn how to watch this event below!

Event Background

With regards to the event background, the PUBG Mobile Pro League is the highest level of regional competition.

In this context, the SEA, or Southeast Asia region, involves the countries of the Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar and Singapore – each with their best representatives.

Here’s how representative seeds have been split up for each country for this event, with PUBG Mobile National Championship seeds:

  • 7 teams – PMNC Philippines
  • 5 teams – PMNC Cambodia
  • 5 teams – PMNC Myanmar
  • 3 teams – PMNC Singapore

Taking place online, the competition looks to take place between 15th February and 5th March, with $40,000 on the line together with seeds for the upcoming international event.

Format

Overall, the format involves two stages of competition.

Firstly, we’ll enjoy the League stage taking place between 15th and 26th February 2023. Across these two weeks, the 20 competing teams will compete in two stages. To begin with, Week 1 will involve a group stage, where 5 groups of 4 will compete against one another. After this first week, teams are grouped based on their Week 1 placements.

Notably, each week is comprised of 5 matchdays, taking place between Wednesday and Sunday, where each matchdays features 5 matches.

Once in the Week 2 stage, within each group, only the top 16 will advance to the Finals.

Accordingly, the Finals will take place between March 3rd and 5th. Here, 16 teams will compete, starting with Bonus Points accumulated from the League. Each day, 6 matches involving all the competitors will determine an overall winner.

Throughout the competition, points distribution is as follows:

  • Elimination Points – 1 per elimination
  • 1st place – 10 points
  • 2nd place – 6 points
  • 3rd place – 5 points
  • 4th place – 4 points
  • 5th place – 3 points
  • 6th place – 2 points
  • 7th/8th place – 1 point
  • 9-16th place – 0 points
