How to Watch PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 – teams, format, schedule, streams, predictions

In the next week, we’re heading into the largest event of the year for competitive PUBG Mobile. Indeed, with the likes of Free Fire taking over mobile competitive esports, we’re excited to see how PUBG Mobile respond with the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021. Accordingly, read on for all the viewership details you need for this massive event!

Event Background

Accordingly, this is only the second iteration of this massive event to round off the entire season of competitive PUBG Mobile.

Organized by KRAFTON and Tencent Games, we’re seeing the very best teams in the world uniting to compete for over $1,500,000 of prize pool. Indeed, we have 40 of the best teams in the world competing across multiple stages as we’ll specify below.

First, we’ll have to explain that the competition is initially being split into League West and East prior to the epic Grand Finals. Accordingly, in this episode of How to Watch, we’ll be focusing on the League Stage.

Accordingly, with the event kicking off on 30th November, this first leg is only a prequel to the grand finals taking place next January.

Format

Also, in terms of format, we’ll be approaching each event together, as they both share the same format. Indeed, we’ll be listing the format below:

  • League running from November 30th to December 19th
    • 3 Weeks of League, each one with 2 Stages
    • Weekdays – 10 matches per week, round-robin format with 5 groups of 4. Top 16 teams will progress to the Super Weekend.
    • Super Weekend – 15 matches per week, single lobby format, points earned in the Super Weekend will contribute to league standings – top 16 teams move onto the Grand Finals

  • League Finals from December 22nd to December 24th
    • 16 teams from the League
    • 18 matches with 6 per day
    • The top 9 teams move on to the Grand Finals

Accordingly, altogether we’ll have 18 teams in the Grand Finals, with 9 from League West and 9 from League East.
