Out of the blue, Tencent and PUBG Corproation announced the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2021 last week! Indeed, the event features a $3,160,000 prize pool as a charity event in collaboration with Gamers Without Borders. Event Background
With regards to event background, there are a few essential key points. Once again, I’ll reiterate that this is a charity event organized by PUBG Corproation. Competing will be 32 directly invited teams from multiple regions. These teams are being split into separate Eastern and Western division events.

Format
Accordingly, the format for the four days of competition is relatively simple. From day one, for both regions, 16 teams will be thrown into one group, Within this group, teams will fight over 20 matches total.
How do teams earn points? The two main ways to do so are through Kills and Placements, in the following Points Matrix:
- 1 kill is 1 point
- 1st -15 points
- 2nd – 12 points
- 3rd – 10 points
- 4th – 8 points
- 5th – 6 points
- 6th – 4 points
- 7th – 2 points
- 8-12th – 1 point
- 13-16th – 0 points
Do note that although the majority of the prize pool will be given to charity, each Division will be competing for a much smaller amount of $80,000 prize.
Indeed, it’s a simple format which should offer a lot of fun.
Schedule for the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2021
In terms of schedule, there looks to be 5 games per day across all 4 days. On each day, the streams for East and West divisions will kick off at exactly the same times:
- PMWI East – 10am (GMT+0)
- PMWI West – 2:30pm (GMT+0)
