Predictions
So, kicking off predictions, let’s just do the sensible thing and look at the standings from the first iteration back in 2019:
- #1 – Russia – 127 points
- #2 – South Korea – 122 points
- #3 – Canada – 106 points
- #4 – Vietnam – 103 points
- #5 – Germany – 102 points
- #6 – Thailand – 96 points
- #7 – Taiwan – 92 points
- #8 – China – 87 points
- #9 – Argentina – 79 points
- #10 – USA – 69 points
As you can see, this time around we’ll definitely have a new winner considering the winner of 2019 will not be attending the event.
However, it’s been a few years – the game has changed and so has the community.
Intead, let’s take a look at the biggest event from last year – the PUBG Global Championship 2021 to check out how nations were represented here.
Bearing this in mind, the champions of that event, NewHappy, were entirely Chinese and will also be representing China for this event. Accordingly, we’d like to favour China as the favourite for this event. Having their roster which is cemented, they’ll be very comfortable heading into the event.
Otherwise, we’re simply excited to see PUBG continue to push the ceiling for esports.
