Next week we’ll be seeing the conclusion of the 10th Season of the RLCS and the final event of it, the RLCS X Europe Championship. Here’s our full tournament guide of the event, and how to watch it.
Tournament’s background
The RLCS X is the second season of the RLCS to kick off in 2020. In this season we saw huge changes to the format and RLCS system, and we are finally at its conclusion. This is going to be the final event of RLCS X.
How to qualify for the main event
Much like the North American Championship, every single team that is taking part in this event managed to get a spot due to their high placement in their regional RLCS X rankings. In this case it was the European standings, and out of 61 teams, only 6 were given the opportunity to play in this event, and we’re sure to have some excellent gameplay.
Prize distribution for the RLCS X Europe Championship
A total of $400,000 will be given out to all participants taking part in the event. This is how the prize money will be spread:
- 1st – $160,000
- 2nd – $80,000
- 3rd-4th – $52,000
- 5th – $32,000
- 6th – $24,000
Tournament Format
Due to this being the final stage of RLCS X, no group stage will take place. Instead, the tournament starts with a playoff bracket. The 5th and 6th teams take each other on in the lower bracket, whereas the 3rd and 4th meet in the upper bracket. Team Vitality and Team BDS are already placed into the Semifinals due to their high ranking.

Predictions
Each of these 6 teams has the ability to take the win there in the final event of Season X. Every team has shown that they have what it takes to take it home and defeat each team in their way. However it will all go down to the most consistent team of all. And for that we’d probably have to put our confidence on Team BDS. Not only are they slotted into the Semifinals already, but they’ve shown time and time again that they’re the most consistent and potentially the best team in Europe.
