Next week we’ll be seeing the conclusion of the 10th Season of the RLCS. This is because the RLCS X NA Championship is taking place, featuring the best of the best NA teams. Here’s our full tournament guide:
Tournament’s background
The RLCS X is the second season of the RLCS to kick off in 2020. In this season we saw huge changes to the format and RLCS system, and we are finally at its conclusion. This is going to be the final event of RLCS X.
How to qualify for the main event
Every single team that is taking part in this event managed to get a spot due to their high placement in the NA RLCS X rankings. Out of 48 teams, only 6 were given the opportunity to play in this event, and we’re yet to see some great games.
Prize distribution for the RLCS X NA Championship
A total of $400,000 will be given out to all participants taking part in the event. This is how the prize money will be distributed:
- 1st – $160,000
- 2nd – $80,000
- 3rd-4th – $52,000
- 5th – $32,000
- 6th – $24,000
Tournament Format
Since this is the final stage of the entire season X, no group stage will be taking place. Instead, the tournament starts with a playoff bracket. Predictions
This is going to be the biggest and most action packed Rocket League event to ever happen in the North American region. With so many talented teams taking part it’s very hard to just pick out one team out of the pack and say that they’re going to win it for sure. With how this format is, Team Envy and The General NRG have a much bigger advantage than the other teams. But this doesn’t mean they are certain to win the tournament. We’ve seen upsets happen time and time again, and we’d definitely expect it from teams like Spacestation Gaming, Rogue, G2 Esports, and FaZe Clan. In the end, we’ll just have to see how it all plays out!
