How to Watch RLCS X Spring NA Regional Event 3: teams, format, schedule, streams, predictions

This next weekend we’ll be seeing some intense Rocket League competition. This is because the RLCS X Spring NA Regional Event 3 will take place, starting tonight! Here is everything you need to know about the event, and how to watch it:

Tournament’s background

This will be the third and final regional event for Spring in the 10th season of the Rocket League Championship Series. After this event, the teams will prepare themselves for the highly anticipated RLCS Season X – Spring: North American Major. The RLCS X Spring NA Regional Event 3 is in partnership with Lamborghini as an official partner for the RLCS X Circuit.

How to qualify for the main event

All of the teams participating in the event qualified through 2 different options. Some teams have gotten their spot due to their Spring Ranking and some others qualified through the closed qualifier.

Prize distribution

A total of $100,000 USD will spread out between all participants. This is how the prize money will be distributed:

  • 1st – $30,000
  • 2nd – $15,000
  • 3rd/4th – $8,000
  • 5th-8th – $5,000
  • 9th-12th – $2,000
  • 13th-16th – $1,500
  • 17th-20th – $1,250

Tournament Format

Group Stage:

  • 20 teams are split into 4 groups of 5.
  • In the group stage, each team battles everyone in their group in a best of 5 format.
  • In the case of ties, the game differential is the primary factor, however it is then followed by a head to head match.
  • The top 2 of each group go to the winners bracket of the Knockout Gauntlet.
  • 3rd and 4th placers go to losers bracket of the Knockout Gauntlet
  • The 5th placing team of each group is eliminated from the event.

Knockout Gauntlet:

  • The Knockout Gauntlet will feature 16 teams in total.
  • Teams fight it all in a double elimination bracket.
  • Each game is in a best of 5 format.
  • The top 8 teams, 4 from Winners, and 4 from losers advance to playoffs.

Playoffs:

  • The playoffs are played in a single elimination bracket.
  • All matches are played in a best of 7.
  • Winners of the grand finals are crowned champions.

Schedule list

The event is intended to start tonight, the 22nd of April, and then go on till the 25th. Here’s a quick run down of the tournament schedule:

  • Group Stage:
    • April 22nd-23rd
  • Knocout Gauntlet:
    • April 24th
  • Playoffs:
    • April 25th
