Across the competitive year of Rainbow Six Siege, the main events to look forward to are the Majors. Indeed, this past year we already enjoyed the Six Mexico Major and now, we have one more event to look forward to. Accordingly, read on for viewership details regarding the upcoming Six Sweden Major!

Event Background

Taking a look at the event background, this event was originally meant to be held in Asia. However, due to trave restrictions and regulations, the event was quickly moved to the venue in Sweden.

Accordingly, as a Major, this event is the build-up of the past few months. Indeed, multiple leagues across the globe of R6S gave teams the opportunity to qualify for this exciting event.

Also, organized by ESL and Ubisoift, the top 16 teams int he world are being invited to compete offline in Gavle. With $500,000 on the line, the event looks to bring the houise down from 8th to the 14th November.

  • BDS Esports – European League
  • Team Empire – European League
  • Team Vitality – European League
  • Rogue – European League
  • Spacestation Gaming – North American League
  • Oxygen Esports – North American League
  • Soniqs – North American League
  • DarkZero Esports – North American League
  • FaZe Clan – Copa Elite Six
  • Team oNe eSports – Copa Elite Six
  • FURIA Esports – Copa Elite Six
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas – Copa Elite Six
  • SANDBOX Gaming – APAC North
  • Invictus Gaming – APAC South
  • Chiefs Esports Club – APAC League Playoffs
  • DAMWON Gaming – APAC League Playoffs

After listing 16 of the very best teams in the world, let’s proceed to the format. Also, note that teams are playing for SI points which will be useful to seed for future events too.

Format

With regards to format, the organizers are bringing in the bulk of matches in the beginning, with the bracket bearing immense gravity.

Initially, the Group Stage will run from 8th November to 10th November. This will involve four groups of four competing in a double round robin, where each team plays one another twice in BO1 matches.

Note that within each group, all 4 teams will be from different regions and different seeds. Here are the groups:

  • A Group: Chiefs Esports Club, FaZe Clan, Oxygen Esports, Rogue
  • B Group: DarkZero Esports, SANDBOX Gaming, Team oNe eSports, Team Vitality
  • C Group: BDS Esports, Invictus Gaming Int., Ninjas in Pyjamas, Soniqs
  • D Group: DAMWON Gaming, FURIA Esports, Spacestation Gaming, Team Empire

From this stage, only the top 2 teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs.

Running from 12th to 14th November, the Playoffs will involve a single-elimination bracket where all matches are BO3. Everything will be concluded with a BO5 Grand Final.
