Evil Geniuses have announced that 30-year old Dota 2 player IceIceIce will be joining their roster as their offlaner. Here is their announcement:
IceIceIce joining Evil Geniuses – Who is he?
Daryl “iceiceice” Koh Pei Xiang started his esports career in Starcraft 2 where he competed for FXOpen e-Sports back in 2011. His greatest Starcraft 2 achievement was a 2nd place at StarCraft II SEA/ANZ Invitational, getting him $2,000 in winnings.
He then moved on to compete in Dota 2 under numerous teams and rosters. Most notably: Vici Gaming, EHOME, Mineski and most recently, Fnatic. He has an approximate total of $1,574,015 in earnings and is looking to grab more wins with his new team, Evil Geniuses.
Here are some of his best Dota 2 achievements:
- 4th place at The International 2015 – 7th August 2015 – Vici Gaming – $1,566,517
- 5th-6th at The International 2016 – 11th August 2016 – EHOME – $934,761
- 4th in The International 2014 – 20th July 2014 – Team DK – $819,298
- 1st at Dota 2 Asia Championships 2018 – 8th April 2018 – Mineski – $370,000
- 2nd in Dota 2 Asia Championships 2015 – 9th February 2015 – Vici Gaming – $366,902
This is certainly an interesting move from Evil Geniuses, which will benefit the entire team, as well as IceIceIce himself. Hopefully the results come for both parties, and aid them in getting a better result at The International 2020/21.
