Accordingly, over this past weekend the CS:GO community enjoyed the conclusion to another event. Specifically, Cloud9 have returned to the limelight with a surprising win. Read on as we offer our own IEM Dallas 2022 recap below!
IEM Dallas 2022 Recap – Back in the Spotlight
Taking place offline at Dallas, with $250,000 on the line, some of the top teams in the world were in attendance. While some teams weren’t present, such as Natus Vincere, recent Major winners FaZe Clan were present amongst other top names.
With regards to their run at this competition, it certainly wasn’t perfect.
Starting in Group B, Cloud9 managed to win their opening game against Team Liquid, but then lose to FURIA Esports. Stuck in the Lower Bracket, they then made an impressive run to clench a seed into the Playoffs.
And it’s here that they would have to really fight through the gauntlet:
- Cloud9 vs FaZe Clan (2-1)
- BIG vs Cloud9 (1-2)
- Cloud9 vs ENCE (3-0)
After beating the top team in the world, FaZe Clan, Cloud9 went on a run and went to sweep ENCE in the Grand Final.
This is an epic win for the organization – not having won since ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018! We’re curious to see how this team progresses in the future!
