IEM Katowice 2022 Recap – New Major Champions!
Safe to say, it’s been an incredible journey for this FaZe Clan team. Indeed, from day one, they’ve had to battle. Having to start in the Play-In, they managed to take one of the 8 Group Stage seeds to join the rest of the competition.
Here they managed to place second, in Group B, only losing to Natus Vincere. Seeded into the Playoffs, they then took down the following teams:
- FaZe Clan vs Gambit Esports (2-0)
- Heroic vs FaZe Clan (0-2)
- FaZe Clan vs G2 Esports (3-0)
Accordingly, they didn’t lose a single map in the Playoffs stage! Riding some incredible momentum, the favourites of Natus Vincere were dispatched by G2 Esports.
With everyone expecting an epic final, nobody saw the 3-0 sweep incoming. After the dust settles, FaZe Clan are your Major Champions!
