LCK 2022 Spring Playoffs Recap – Favourites Conquer
Concluding on the 2nd April, the event was a culmination of the entire Spring season.
Accordingly, our predictions for this event were simple. We asked the question – “could anyone beat T1?” Indeed, the answer seems to be clear.
Specifically, from their first seed thanks to a flawless regular season run (18-0), T1 took care of business with each match from the semifinals onwards:
- T1 vs KDF (3-0)
- T1 vs Gen.G (3-1)
Although the pressure was on, T1 succeeded to show up. It was in the Grand Final against Gen.G, where the community watched with a peak viewership of 1,374,155, that T1 cemented their spot.
By playing first, they’ve earned their spot at the MSI 2022 event.
Taking place in May, T1 are likely to be considered favourites for this international event bearing in mind their dominant form recently. It seems that rebuilding their roster for this season truly paid off.
