Following the conclusion of the LCK Summer Playoffs, teams are running out of ways to qualify for Worlds 2022. Accordingly, the final chance is through the LCK Regional Finals. Read on as we preview this upcoming event below!
LCK Regional Finals Preview – 2 Seeds For Grabs
Specifically, the likes of Gen.G secured the Summer 2022 seed while T1 has qualified through Championship Points.
Now, the top 4 teams who haven’t qualified yet have been invited based on Championship Points:
- DWG KIA – Champ Points #3
- Liiv SANDBOX – Champ Points #4
- KT Rolster – Champ Points #5
- DRX – Champ Points #6
Accordingly, the teams will be fighting through a simple and short bracket consisting of only three matches.
Specifically, the opening matches have already been determined based on seeding:
Round 1 Qualification Match
- DWG KIA vs Liiv SANDBOX
Round 1 Elimination Match
- KT Rolster vs DRX
Round 2 Qualification Match
- TBD vs TBD
Through this bracket, teams are fighting for two seeds to Worlds. Namely, first place earns a spot at the Main Event, while second will be heading to the Play-In.
Kicking off on 1st September, we can’t wait to see which teams will make it to Worlds from the LCK – one of the most competitive regions.
