LCS Lock-In 2022 Recap – Maintaining Momentum
Specifically, Team Liquid managed to stamp out the competition over the past few weeks.
Starting off in Group B, Team Liquid didn’t appear as favourites from the start. Indeed, in the Groups they managed a 3-1 scoreline, finishing second beneath Evil Geniuses.
Seeded into the Quarterfinals, Team Liquid faced off against FlyQuest. Sweeping away this team, they then faced Team Dignitas. Accordingly, Team Liquid took down Dignitas to make it to the Grand Finals against Evil Geniuses.
Here, Team Liquid swept away the competition, taking down Evil Geniuses and cementing their top spot before the season kicks off.
Their pre-season victory is no surprising considering their record:
- 12-13th @ 2021 World Championship
- 2nd @ LCS Summer 2021
- 2nd @ LCS Spring 2021
- 1st @ LCS Lock-In 2021
