Currently, Riot Games are in the testing period for League of Legends Patch 10.16. on live servers. Recently, patch 10.15 went live to rectify certain problems with balancing. For patch 10.16, Riot Games aims to shuffle things up before post-season competition.
At the moment, no official patch notes are now available. However, Mark “Scruffy” Yetter as a lead gameplay designer at Riot Games spilt the beans. Officially on Twitter, the following was revealed:
Accordingly, the Summer Playoffs will take off roughly in late-August. Most League of Legends competitive franchises align with this date.
Riot Games are designing the multiple nerfs to make the game more skill-based ahead of the high-stake Playoffs.
Seemingly, the forced meta shift will be live on August 5th this coming month. This should be plenty of time for the competitive community to adapt to the changes.
Meanwhile, other champions will be receiving buffs such as the following:
- Neeko
- Ziggs
- Veigar
- Hecarim
- Tristana
- Lucian
- Miss Fortune
- Morgana
- Rakan
In conclusion, we’re excited to see how League of Legends Patch 10.16 be shaking up how the game is played at the highest level.
