As we previewed the end of the LEC 2020 Summer earlier, now the standings are finally complete. Bearing in mind the seeding for the LEC 2020 Summer Playoffs, let’s take a closer look at how the entire season ended.
Prior to the final week, MAD Lions and Rogue were locked in at a tied first place. Resultantly, their head-to-head match-up would decide the placements. Bearing this in mind, Rogue took the opportunity to snatch the lead. Accordingly, the standings are as follows:
Following the round-robin group stage, the top 6 have made it to the LEC 2020 Summer Playoffs. Taking place on the 21st August and running up to the 6th September, everything is on the line. Only the top three will qualify directly for the Worlds 2020 Main Event while fourth obtains a second chance.
When glancing at the season, one can only wonder at Origen’s failure from Spring. From third, they’ve now ended up last. The remaining placings are a result of the thrilling level of competition. To note, Schalke 04 has blown everyone’s mind with how they turned their performance around.
