LEC 2022 Spring Split – Live Crowd?
So, coming out to Twitter with their announcement, here’s what Riot Games Europe had to say:
We feel strongly about creating the best online experience right from the get-go, and we feel that making this decision upfront will give us a better runway in creating an incredible online show for everyone, instead of putting energy and time into something we may have to cancel later on.
However, we are currently monitoring the situation and looking at the possibility of a roadshow for Summer 2022, COVID permitting – stay tuned for more information!

What we have right now is a date. Specifically, the competition for the LEC region will return on January 14th 2022.
However, we’re not sure whether or not a live event will be present and games held at a venue. Indeed, Riot Games made it clear that this is their ultimate goal, yet will be cautious at every step of the way.
