Indeed, while many regions of LoL are concluding competition, LEC is still neck deep. Specifically, the LEC Summer Split 2022 Playoffs are still underway. With teams earning seeds, read on to learn about Fnatic’s journey!
LEC Summer Split 2022 – More Competition Left
Kicking off back on 26th August, the top 6 teams from the LEC reached the Playoffs. This featured the following teams:
- Excel
- Fnatic
- G2 Esports
- MAD Lions
- Misfits Gaming
- Rogue
The stakes of the competition are very clear – only the top 4 make it to Worlds. Specifically, the top 2 straight to the Main Event while 3-4 go to the Play-In.
Bearing this in mind, the odds for Fnatic were rather low considering they were the fifth seed heading into this competition. Starting in the lower bracket, they kicked off the competition with an edging victory of 3-2 over Excel.
Moving on, they’d face Misfits to earn Top 4.
With the match taking place yesterday, the community expected a tight game. However, Fnatic decided to sweep the competition and earn a place at Worlds 2022.
Yet, we’re all curious to see how far they can go – perhaps even deeper?
