Over the past few days, there’s been a tonne of buzz over League of Legends. Apart from many leagues kicking off, new content is here. Part of this new content involves new champs. That’s where LoL Viego comes in. The newest champ has left certainly garnered some attention – here’s why.
Continuing on the ‘Ruined King‘ theme, the champion’s story is wrapped up very well in the following video from Riot Games:
Released yesterday in the role of a Jungler, his abilities bring a lot to the table:
- Passive – Sovereign’s Dominate – once enabled, Viego basically possesses enemies he takes down and their abilities temporarily. With health and speed bonuses, it’s incredibly interesting.
- Q – a simple stab, passively may attack twice while sucking health away
- W – ‘Spectral Maw’ – a hop forward to drop a mist which stuns and damages. This could be great for enemy crowds
- E – ‘Harrowed Path’ – a cloak of Black Mist deposited near a wall – giving LoL Viego speed and attack bonuses.
- R – ‘Heartbreaker’ – Viego drops any body he’s possessing and homes in on a nearby enemy, the weakest one available – great for picking up weak enemies.
Meta Shift Inbound?
Definitely – until a solid counter is found for the champion, he’s extremely dangerous. With the current meta revolving heavily around having a strong jungler, Viego is new and great option. However, we’ll have to see how the community both competitive and casual adapt to his integration.
