Yesterday, Mousesports won a match that resulted in them reaching the Flashpoint 3 Grand Final. Here is how it all panned out:
Mousesports reaching Flashpoint 3 Final – How did they do it?
Mouz started the event with a swift 2-0 win against the new Fnatic roster. Then came BIG Clan in the 2nd round, and they were also taken down by Mousesports 2-0. Their first struggle was against the Danish team of Astralis. In the first map (Nuke) they went to overtime, and somehow, Mouz got the edge, winning 19-17. Then on Overpass, Mousesports showcased an excellent T-side, which allowed them to get a huge advantage heading into the second half. At that point, there was no chance for Astralis to comeback, and Mouz won 16-12.
Progressing toward the Grand Final
With this win, Mousesports took on G2 Esports in the Upper bracket final. Maps chosen were Inferno and Nuke. In the first map, which was G2’s pick, we saw a dominant CT-side from Mouz. This resulted in a swift victory with a 16-10 scoreline. Then came Nuke, a map which they just won against Astralis. Fortunately, they replicated their success on the CT -side from the earlier map, and got another map win (16-13) to get into the Grand Finals.
What’s next?
The next phase of the event is the lower bracket final, which is playing out between G2 Esports and NiP. Both teams have showcased great performances, but unfortunately only one will make it into the Grand Final against Mousesports. Who knows, this might just be the start of a dominant run by this new European team.
