MSI 2022 Group Stage – Interesting Groups
Following the completion of multiple regional splits, we have the 11 teams from 11 diferent regions. Drawn into pools, Riot Games generated the following Groups below:
Group A:
- DetonatioN FocusMe – Japan
- Saigon Buffalo – Vietnam
- T1 – Korea
- Team Aze – Latin America
Group B:
- Istanbul Wildcats – Turkey
- PSG Talon – Pacific
- RED Canids – Brazil
- Royal Never Give Up – China
Group C:
- Evil Geniuses – North America
- G2 Esport – Europe
- ORDER – Oceania
So, what’s the format? Accordingly, from this first Stage, a double round robin will take place. Indeed, this means that teams will face one another twice in BO1 matches. For every group, only the top 2 progress to the next stage.
Overall, events like this show off how global League of Legends is. Outside the minimum prize pool of $250,000, the main reward here is pride, pride to be the best of the best region!
