For those right now, the past week has seen one of the top LoL esports events of the year go live. Accordingly, in this MSI 2022 update, read on as we preview the upcoming stage of competition for this exciting event!
MSI 2022 Update – Six Teams Left
Indeed, so far, Stage 1 has been completed. Specifically, following three Groups with teams fighting to make it through, the following teams have been eliminated from the competition.
- RED Canids
- ORDER
- DetonatioN FM
- Team Aze
- Istanbul Wildcats
Accordingly, that leaves only the following for the second stage:
- Evil Geniuses
- G2 Esports
- PSG Talon
- Royal Never Give Up
- Saigon Buffalo
- T1
Indeed, what can we expect in the Rumble Stage? Here, a double round robin will take place between the remaining teams, in BO1 matches. From here, only the top 4 teams will progress to the final stage.
And then, it’s in this third stage, that the final Knockout Stage will take place. Specifically, a final single elimination bracket with BO5 matches will decide our current international champion.
So far, no surprises have taken place – all the smaller region teams have been eliminated. All the action returns as soon as May 20th!
