Yesterday, Riot Games tweeted out that they will be releasing a new champion in the support role. The champion’s name is Seraphine and she will be the 152nd champion to be released in the entirety of League of Legends. Here is their announcement:
Here is a video from SkinSpotlights, highlighting Seraphine’s abilities:
Abilities
- Passive – Stage Presence
- Every third basic ability Seraphine casts will echo, automatically casting a second time. Additionally, whenever she casts an ability nearby an ally, she will create a Note. Each Note gives her basic attacks more attack range and deal additional magic damage, consuming the Note.
- Q – High Note
- Seraphine projects a pure note. This deals damage and is increased by the target’s missing health percentage.
- W – Surround Sound
- Seraphine surrounds her nearby allies in a song, granting herself and her allies movement speed and a shield. If Seraphine is already shielded, she can heal her nearby allies, restoring health based on how many allies are near her.
- E – Beat Drop
- Seraphine unleashes a heavy soundwave, that deals magic damage to enemies in a line and slows them. Enemies that are already slowed are rooted, and already rooted enemies are stunned.
- R – Encore
- Seraphine projects a captivating force that charms enemies and deals magic damage. Any champions struck (allies included) become part of the performance, extending the range of the ability and granting allies maximum Notes.

Will Seraphine have a skin on release?
Upon release, Seraphine will be available with a K/DA ALL OUT skin theme, to celebrate the upcoming K/DA EP, ALL OUT. Here below is an image of what it will look like from one evolution to another:
How will she impact the current champion pool?
It will be very interesting to see a new support in the champion pool. Seraphine will most probably be preferred over some other healing champions like Soraka or Sona. However it is very hard to predict how well she’ll do at the highest level of League of Legends. She will certainly create more options in the Support role and will definitely be a champion to look out for heading into preseason 11.Â
