Professional European Esports organization OG esports have announced that they are parting ways with one of their Dota 2 players, MidOne. Here is their announcement:
OG parting ways with MidOne – Who is he?
24-year-old Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng is a Malaysian Dota 2 player. He started his career in 2015 under the Fnatic organizations, and then went on to play for Team Secret between 2016 and 2019. Then, after finding a lot of success with Team Secret, he was given the opportunity to represent the International winning team, OG. Here are some of MidOne’s best results with OG:
- 2nd in EPIC League Season 2 Division 1 – 13th December 2020 – $100,000
- 2nd place at OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division – 6th September 2020 – $125,000
- 5th at DreamLeague Season 14 DPC EU Upper Division – 28th February 2021 – $25,000
Why did they part ways?
In their article statement, OG reveal that the main reason for the parting ways was because of the rough results they have been getting in recent events. Obviously, getting 5th, 6th even 7th and 8th placements at events is not a good look for such a prestigious organisation.
Johan “N0tail” Sundstein, captain of the OG Esports Dota 2 team, said this:
“I want to thank Yeik for his hard work, and for the sacrifices he has made for OG and for the Team. He is an extraordinary player, and is unfortunate we couldn’t get better results together. Thank you Yeik, and best of luck!”

What’s next for OG?
Nothing has been mentioned with regards to OG’s newest player, however rumours have been raising questions about Anathan “ana” Pham. He’s been on the bench of the OG lineup since the 25th of January, and he could be a perfect replacement for the time being.
