The community has been waiting for quite some time, but it’s finally almost here. Indeed, the Overwatch 2 Beta is giving the community a taste of what’s to come. Read on as we offer up some observations from the early versions of the new title coming soon!
Overwatch 2 Beta – Lifting Excitement
Indeed, the main points we want to discuss focus on what’s new – and there’s a lot to cover. Of course, one of the most central changes is the move to 5v5 from 6v6 competition. This allows for more strategic gameplay which is slightly less hectic.
So, let’s talk about what the community will be able to play on April 26th in terms of new components:
- New Game Mode: Push – a tug-of-war game with a robot for teams to escort to other sides of the map
- New Character: apart from the 32 Overwatch characters – new hero Sojourn as part of the roster. Also, other heroes have been reworked and balanced
- Maps: new maps such as Midtown and Circuit Royal Escort
Of course, things might not go perfectly smooth. Indeed, the point of this beta is for the Blizzard team to tweak what needs to be changed before the official release!
