Indeed, the last time we received an update from Overwatch 2, it was concerning the next season. Accordingly, although we knew Overwatch 2 delayed would be true, we just wouldn’t be sure for how long. Aimed for next competitive season, it’s clear now that we might have to wait even longer than we expected!
Overwatch 2 Delayed – How Much Time Left?
Specifically, for both Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 we were hoping to see them be published as soon as 2022 next year. However, the following is a statement from a report from Activision below:
“As we have worked with new leadership in Blizzard and within the franchises themselves, particularly in certain key creative roles. It has become apparent that some of the Blizzard content planned for next year will benefit from more development time to reach its full potential

While we are still planning to deliver a substantial amount of content from Blizzard next year, we are now planning for a later launch for Overwatch 2 and Diable IV than originally envisaged.”

So, for how long must be wait? Indeed, with regards to Overwatch, we’re looking forward to making sure the game is published as soon as possible for the sake of competition. Accordingly, we’ll be keeping an eye out!
