OWL Countdown Cup Recap – LAG Defy the Odds
Over the past few weeks, Los Angeles Gladiators have been on the rise in the West region. Managing to win, we’ll be following their journey at this past event.
To begin with, they had an enormous game against San Francisco Shock in the West Semifinals. Taking this series was no easy feat, with LAG crawling back into it after down 2-1.
Moving into the tournament weekend, they’d start with a familiar opponent – Chengdu Hunters. Once again, another incredible 3-2 game ensued in favour of the Gladiators.
Despite these close encounters, their meeting with Atlanta Reign in the Winners’ Final would be a quick one. Here, they 3-0’ed their opposition in dominant fashion.
With thrills high, they had made it to the Grand Finals. Here, Chengdu Hunters would rematch them – once again a long series leading to a 4-3 scoreline. As both teams fought for their first win, LAG clutched up!
