Event Background
Indeed, PUBG Mobile continues to push the limits concerning mobile esports. Accordingly, some massive events are being held both offline and online. The Peacekeeper Elite Championship 2020 is an event designated for the Chinese region of the scene. Taking place this weekend, we’ve got all the details below as to how to watch it!
Before proceeding, do note that ‘Peacekeeper Elite’ is in fact a Chinese version which Tencent made of PUBG Mobile made for this region specifically.
A total of 15 squads of four are waiting to compete from the 14-15th November. With roughly $1,816,039 on the line, here’s the list of the teams squaring it out at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center:
- Four Angry Men
- Elite Esports
- Nova Esports
- Royal Never Give Up
- King of Gamers Club
- Futbolist
- Unicorns of Love
- Loops
- Valdus the Murder
- Natus Vincere
- Wildcard Gaming
- Team Umbra
- T1
- Tempo Storm
- REJECT Scarlet
Some teams qualified while others were directly invited to the event.
Format
The format is really simple. Accordingly, no progression is present. All 15 teams are being thrown into one single group. Within this group a total of eight matches will take place where teams can earn points.
Here’s how the point system will work.
Position
- 1st (15)
- 2nd (12)
- 3rd (!0)
- 4th (8)
- 5th (6)
- 6th (4)
- 7th (2)
- 8-11th (1)
- 12-15th (0)
Kills
- Each kill is worth 1 point except in two situations
- Kills in the first and second zone are worth two points
Providing more points for kills in the early-game looks to encourage early encounters and aggression behind risk.

Predictions
Predictions for this sort of event are rather difficult. One thing we can definitely begin with is the fact that the Chinese teams are the favourites – both by the fans and statistically. Four Angry Men seem to be the favourite after their victory at the Peacekeeper Elite League a few weeks ago.
Last year, the 2019 iteration saw the Chinese team of XQF taking home the prize and the same is expected for this year – noting the fact that 4AM were so close to taking it last year too.
However, that’s not to count out any of the other competitors too. As we like to remind our viewers, competitive battle royale can have a mind of its own especially due to how random it may be at times. Also, momentum plays a big part of it too, especially with just 8 games to play.
General predictions outline a great event for PUBG Mobile in general. Tencent has been putting in an enormous amount of effort behind the title and it’s beginning to show as the mobile esport takes off.
