PGL Antwerp Major Recap – An Epic Final
Over the past year, the likes of FaZe Clan have won multiple events with their current roster. Heading into the events as favourites, while it definitely wasn’t easy, they’ve earned a Major win:
- #1 – FaZe Clan
- #2 – Natus Vincere
- #3-4 – Team Spirit, ENCE
And no they were not the favourites throughout. Finishing fifth in the Legends Stage, they headed into the Champions Stage as a favourite, but under the radar.
Here, in the Single Elimination Champions Stage, they took down the following teams:
- FaZe Clan vs Ninjas in Pyjamas (2-1)
- Team Spirit vs FaZe Clan (0-2)
And just like that, they had earned a spot in the Grand Finals.
Here they would play, the likes of the other favourite for the event in the form of Natus Vincere. Accordingly, although being close, FaZe Clan managed to take down Na’Vi in a 2-0 fashion.
Bearing this in mind, this has cemented the roster as the very best of 2022 – let’s see how far they can carry this!
