2016 – that’s the last time a Dota Major took place in America! Accordingly, PGL is about to change all of that. Indeed, the PGL Dota 2 Major 2022 announced has the community heading to North America. Read on as we list everything you need to know for this exciting event!
PGL Dota 2 Major 2022 – Can’t Wait For It
With a press release earlier today, the following are some basic points:
- Venue: Arlington, Texas
- Participant: Top 18 Dota 2 teas in the world
- Prize: $500,000, Dota Pro Circuit Points
This will in fact be the final Major of the Dota Pro Circuit of this season. Accordingly, it will be the last chance for teams to try and secure their spot to the biggest event of the year – The International.
In addition, a live audience is being confirmed should everything carry on as planned. Everything looks to take place from 4th to 14th August this year!

We are fortunate to be back in North America with another Major after Boston. We love to run events in the USA, and we have wonderful memories from 2016: it was a great tournament, and the fans were fantastic. Having a tremendous tournament with DOTA 2 enthusiasts in the stands after a long time will be great!
