What a way to let the cat out of the bag! Only yesterday, PUBG Mobile esports went public with an announcement for the PMGC 2021 – the next season of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship! Setting the largest prize pool in the history of mobile esports, read on for the full story!
PMGC 2021 – $6 Million Prize Pool!
Yesterday, on 25th July, announcements went live with all circulating details revolving around the following YouTube video:
Some quick details announced so far are as follows:
- Event will consist of a League Stage (November-December) and a Final Stage (January)
- Seeding for teams by total points earned through the PMNC and the PMPL events – number of teams to be announced soon
- The $6,000,000 prize pool is definitely setting new records for mobile esports – more prize than all of PUBG Mobile set last year in total!
Such an announcement follows the exciting end of the PUBG Mobile World Invitiational which concluded a few days ago. As you can tell, competitive PUBG Mobile simply isn’t letting off the gas and looks to continue leading mobile esports.
As time passes, we’ll be on the lookout for more details to share. Do note that last year’s event was only a taster of this season, hence the name ‘Season Zero’ – still managing to be one of the top esports events of last year!
