The PUBG Mobile Pro League is constantly innovating to push mobile esports further. Offering incredible events as covered earlier, now, the PMPL is no joke. Now, PMPL Indonesia is discovering a new points system. Indeed, this looks to set a new standard in the scene.
As announced by none other than developer Tencent, the scoring system has changed. Accordingly, the new system is being implemented at PMPL Indonesia Season 2. The event is taking place from
Aug. 14 to Sept. 17. Here it is:
What are the major changes? Mainly, the points have been reworked to encourage aggressive play in the later portions of the game. The PMPL Indonesia Points system now reduces the reward for first place. Therefore, the 1 point per kill is now way more powerful.
Besides this, the lower rankings will now be receiving 0 points and not the default 1. Accordingly, this should punish overly aggressive teams early in the game.
Otherwise, should this point system be implemented entirely, this will change PUBG Mobile drastically. Hiding and playing slowly could no longer be rewarded as seen in previous events.
