T1 have announced that they will be parting ways with their offlaner, Lee “Forev” Sang-don. Here is their statement:
What led to this decision?
The decision to part ways with Forev was definitely taken in line with their recent results in the ONE Esports Dota 2 SEA League. T1 placed 7th during the Round Robin stage, which meant that it was not a good result. However they managed to climb back up during the playoffs stage, up until the 3rd round of the lower bracket, where they lost 2-1 to GeekFam. This loss meant that they had achieved a 4th place during the league, which was certainly not a good result for the T1 organization.
Who will be his replacement?
T1 have not hinted anything with regards as to who could be a replacement, however rumor has it that ex-Fnatic Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon will be T1’s newest pickup in the offlane role. We will just have to wait and see for a confirmation from T1, which should be arriving sometime soon!
